This is my first blog for nature so please excuse any mistakes: Done On the 26/06/13 I took a hike to check out any wildlife around the Langston area
Part 1
I decided to take a hike from Langstone through to Bedhampton, at first I visited North Haying Nature Reserve. This is my first post so excuse the quality.
A tree bumblebee (above)
A herd of grazing sheep give me the looks as I passed (below)
An unusual water pipit below is spotted on a dried up riverbed with presumably an insect in its beak
Now as we approached the seabird colonies a very tame chick goes in search of its nest
We then arrived at the main colony which was littered with black headed gulls (below)
And a few bullied common terns added in as well
Part 2
(Above) a heron as I move on to Brockhampton Nature Reserve were poppies were blooming
A swallow flies low over the water, nipping off any insects (above).
Part 3
Part 3
The next location is Broadmarsh Coastal Reserve (below), were we meet the mouth of the river bedhampton.
We then followed the River Bedhampton (below) with feeds into the harbour in the background (above)
After a while the river curls off towards bedhampton so I continued on the path
A honeybee in a Bedhampton suburb concludes this page
